The Danish Mobility Atlas is operated by Beta Mobility Consulting AS, which is the data controller for the information described on this page. We are registered in Norway with organisation number 927973979, at Universitetsgata 18, 0164 Oslo, Norway. You can contact us about anything concerning your information at hello@betamobility.com.

When you accept the cookie notice, we set a cookie called mv_id on your device. It holds a random visit id, not your name or your email address. The cookie is only set once you have actively accepted, and it is never set if you have declined.

We use mv_id to see which pages you visit on the site, and whether you come back. This covers every page, not only the municipality pages. We store which kind of page you viewed, and for municipality and region pages which place it concerns, together with the time. We do not store the full web address, nor anything you may have searched for.

On the municipality pages we also use the count to distinguish a first visit from a repeat visit. Only the municipality pages ask for a work email address. The rest of the site is freely available however many times you visit it.

The legal basis is your consent, under the Danish cookie order and article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time, see the section on changing your cookie choice at the bottom of this page.

The first time you visit a municipality page, it is freely available. If you return to the same municipality page, we ask for a work email address before you can continue. We do not accept personal email addresses.

We store the address together with your visit history, meaning which pages on the site you have seen and when. We use it to recognise you on later visits, and we may write to you about the Danish Mobility Atlas and about Beta Mobility's work on mobility. We do not sell the address on, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

The legal basis for storing the address and contacting you is our legitimate interest in knowing who uses the atlas and in being able to follow up professionally with professional users, under article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. You can object to being contacted at any time, and we will stop immediately.

If you declined the cookie notice, we cannot remember your visits across browser sessions. We only remember them within the tab you are in, so that you get the same free first visit. Close the tab and the count starts over.

We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate statistics across the site, such as how many people visit a page and which pages are read. Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. No profile is built, and the statistics cannot be used to recognise a specific person.

Both the measurement script and the measurements it sends travel through mobilitetsatlas.dk and on to Plausible, rather than your browser contacting Plausible directly. That means your IP address reaches our own server first. We do not store it, and neither does Plausible.

Plausible processes data in the EU. Because it neither sets cookies nor accesses information on your device, it runs independently of your choice in the cookie notice. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the atlas is used, under article 6(1)(f).

The site has an assistant you can ask questions about the content. The question you write is sent to our server and on to the language model providers Anthropic and Voyage AI, which process the text and return an answer. That processing takes place in the United States.

We do not use the questions to train models, and the providers are not permitted to either. Please do not write personal data into the field, whether about yourself or others. We do not need it in order to answer.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a working search function, under article 6(1)(f).

Registered email addresses and visit history are deleted automatically 24 months after your most recent visit to the site. If you visit the atlas again before then, the period restarts from that new visit.

You can ask to have your information deleted sooner at any time, and we will do so. Write to hello@betamobility.com.

The aggregate statistics from Plausible contain no information about individuals and are not subject to the same deletion deadline.

We use a number of processors to run the site. Vercel provides hosting for the website itself. Supabase provides the database where email addresses and visit history are stored. Railway runs the server that answers questions. Plausible provides the aggregate visit statistics. All four process data in the EU.

Anthropic and Voyage AI process the questions you put to the assistant, and do so in the United States. The transfer takes place on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Beyond this we do not pass your information on to anyone, unless we are legally required to.

You have the right to access the information we process about you, and to have inaccurate information corrected. You have the right to have the information erased and to have its processing restricted.

You have the right to object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest, including to being contacted. You have the right to receive the information you have given us in a common machine-readable format.

Write to hello@betamobility.com if you wish to exercise any of these rights. We respond within one month.

If you disagree with how we process your information, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, dt@datatilsynet.dk.

You can withdraw your consent, or give it again, at any time. When you reset the choice we delete mv_id from your device immediately and the cookie notice is shown again so you can choose afresh. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
